Alaska's Marine Highway
The 8,834-mile Scenic coastal ferry route in southern Alaska includes Alaska's Inside Passage, Prince William Sound, Kodiak, and the Aleutian Islands. Scenery includes pristine islands, spectacular fjords, the Gulf of Alaska and Lower Cook Inlet, snow-capped mountains, historical towns and villages, and abundant wildlife. All routes within the Alaska Marine Highway System are, collectively, an "All-American Road."Start and Endpoint: The "Inside Passage" extends from Queen Charlotte Islands of British Columbia north to Skagway. The Gulf Coast Route extends from Juneau to the Marine Highway's westernmost port, Unalaska, in the Aleutians.

Glenn Highway
Paralleling the Chugach Mountains along its entire route, the 138-mile National Scenic Byway follows a path carved by ancient glaciers, connecting Anchorage to the Little Nelchina River. The Glenn Highway provides access to the 495,000-acre Chugach State Park at Eagle River and follows the Matanuska River for over half its length. Near the byway's end at Eureka Summit, visitors can observe four of Alaska's major mountain ranges: the Alaska Range, the Chugach Mountains, the Talkeetna Mountains and the Wrangell-St. Elias Mountains.Start and Endpoint: From Anchorage to the Little Nelchina River.

Seward Highway
From Anchorage to Girdwood, the Seward Highway borders Turnagain Arm and Chugach State Park. From Girdwood to Seward, it passes through Chugach National Forest offering dramatic views of wild Alaska.
