The first sustained flight in a heavier-than-air machine was made here by Wilbur and Orville Wright on December 17, 1903. The Wright Brothers National Memorial includes museum exhibits, reconstructed camp buildings, the first flight area, and a 60-foot granite monument perched atop 90-foot-tall Kill Devil Hill commemorating the achievement of these two visionaries from Dayton, Ohio.Things to Do at the Wright Brothers National Memorial:
